“ONE” Port Stephens

We are back on the road until Christmas day and our first stop is the magical Port Stephens. It’s a landscape photographers dream… and we have never been here!! Still trying to work out how we have missed this place up until now.

This “ONE” shot was taken this morning after a steep hike up the highest peak in the area. I took a full backpack of gear, but only needed my wide lens and a tripod. This shot shows the place off in one frame really. Massive tree lined hills rolling down into the open ocean on one side and calm bays on the other. There’s protection in every wind and breath taking beaches around every corner, most of them with no one around!

CAMERA INFO || Shot with the Canon 5D MK3, 17-40mm lens set at 17mm, 0.9 ND Grad filter, 10 ND filter, Tripod mounted : Shutter speed 20secs – Aperture F-9 with ISO set at 100
